How Cool is our Bookmobile?

Cool enough that it gained the attention of the Shanachietour, a group of innovative guys from the DOK public library in Delft, the Netherlands. They were so impressed with our "Mobile Library" that they filmed it as part of their Wild Rose tour of Alberta libraries. They loved the wheelchair accessibility, the space inside and the size of the collection, calling it a "best practice for sure" of how a library can serve its community.>

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

Mondays

North Cooking Lake/Deville Community Hall from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. 
Located between Range Road 210 and 211 on Wye Road.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 20 minutes.

Brookville Hall from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.        
Located on the north/east corner of Highway 16 East and Range Road 212.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 20 minutes.

Ardrossan Recreation Centre from 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.     
Located at: #80, 1^st Avenue in Ardrossan  This is between Highway 16 East and Baseline Road on Range Road 222.
Approximate driving time is 12 minutes east of Sherwood Park.

Tuesdays

Ministik School from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.        
Located on the north side of Highway 14 East between Range Road 212 and 213.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 25 minutes.

Hastings Lake Hall from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.       
Located 2.5 km. south of Highway 14 East on Range Road 204.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 30 minutes.

South Cooking Lake Hall from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.    
Turn north off Highway 14 East into South Cooking Lake (just after Range Road 222). 
Turn left at stop sign, take next right – the hall is on the right at the bottom of the hill.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 20 minutes.

Fultonvale Olympiette Centre from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.   
Located at: 52029 Range Road 224.
Take Township Road 522 or 520 from Highway 21 or take Range Road 224 from Highway 14 East and follow signs.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 12 minutes.

Wednesdays

Good Hope Community Hall from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.   
Take Highway 16 East to Range Road 212 (Brookville Hall), go north on Range Road 212 to stop sign (6 miles), go 1 mile east on Twp Rd 542 to Range Road 211.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 30 minutes.

Moyer Recreation Centre (Josephburg) from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  
Located at: 54569 Range Road 215. 
From Highway 16 east, take Range Road 215 north all the way to Josephburg. 
Moyer is just to the east; the Bookmobile parks on the north side of the complex.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 25 minutes.

Thursdays

Collingwood Cove from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.    
Take Township Road 520 straight through to Collingwood Cove from Highway 21.
Or take Range Road 213 south from Wye Road, go east on Township Road 520. 
The Bookmobile parks at the first set of mailboxes on the main road.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 25 minutes.

Uncas from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.     
Located east on Wye Road just past Range Road 213. 
The Bookmobile parks in front of the Country Mercantile Store.
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 20 minutes.

Antler Lake Community Hall from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.     
Located east on Wye Road to Range Road 211, north to t-intersection, turn right and follow road around to baseball diamond and hall on right.
OR from Wye Road, take Twp Rd 524 to Range Road 211, turn south, then take next left and follow road to community hall (on left).
Approximate driving time from Sherwood Park is 30 minutes.
