Our Annual Garden Tour, a
Strathcona County tradition, is organized by the
Friends of Strathcona County
Library.

Casino
Fundraisers |

The Friends of the Library hosted a casino in
Camrose on Fri Jan 21 and Sat Jan 22, 2011. Although we
do not yet know how much we raised from this event, we
anticipate that it will be approximately $18,000. These funds will go
towards purchase of materials for the new library.
We would like to thank all our fabulous volunteers
who braved the weather conditions to drive to
Camrose and participate in this casino.

opportunities in the coming months! |

annual Book Sale helps us to pass along older and
seldom-used items from the library collection while
generating some money to spend on new items.

in the Park |

The Words in the Park
book sale & fair, which takes place every
November/December, is a great
opportunity to meet local authors, do some holiday
shopping, and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the
community centre.

Christmas Gift Wrapping at the Mall |

Once again, Strathcona
County Library will be coordinating the annual Gift
Wrap Centre fundraiser located in Sherwood Park
Mall. This year the Gift Wrap Centre will operate
from December 10th to December 24th.

During Mall Hours
Funds raised during
this event are used to buy new items for our
collection. We appreciate your support!

Heritage Tour 2012 |
 |
Join the Friends of
the Library on their fifth Heritage Tour fundraiser,
this time visiting six completely different and
unique cathedrals and temples in Edmonton. Proposed
sites include the Al Rashid Mosque, All Saints
Anglican Cathedral and the new Sikh Temple on
Manning Drive. Look forward to an escorted bus tour
with breakfast and lunch included in the ticket
price. Tickets are $60 per person and will be
available for sale after April 1st at the Library's
Check Out Desk. Sat

Enjoy learning about different religions and
ceremonies while supporting your local library.
There are only 40 tickets, so reserve yours early to
avoid disappointment.
