Free Passes
Want to make a difference to teens in your
community who need help?
We’re raising money for the Youth Emergency
Shelter Society and we need your help! Come in
to the Library and read until you drop! Read
your favorite books, eat pizza, & help out a
great cause!
Funds raised will be donated to the Youth
Emergency Shelter Society (Y.E.S.S.) You can
also bring a non-perishable food donation for
the Strathcona County Food Bank.
Pick up your pledge sheet at the Information
Desk or
download a copy.

Teen Yoga

Free Passes
Get a taste of what yoga can do for you! Build
strength, flexibility, mental focus, and
balance.
Enhance your sports performance and de-stress
through breathing and relaxation techniques. An
expert from Yoga for Today will lead the
session.
Yoga mats will be provided or bring your own.
Permission forms will be provided and must be
signed by parent/guardian prior to the program.

Find great graphic novels, books about movies, film-making,
photography, cartooning, and more!

Get Hooked: Book Trailer Contest
Spread your
enthusiasm! Make a one or two minute video about
what you liked about your book and why everyone
should read it. Or make a movie trailer to get
everyone hooked.
Post your video on YouTube and email your link
to

Read! Eat! Discuss! Share!
Love to read? Dying to talk to someone about your
favourite books? Can’t decide what to read next? Want to
hear about the latest hot new releases?
Debate, chat, review, discuss the books you want to
read! We’ll also be hosting guest authors, playing games
and doing crafts. Talk about books, connect with
friends, eat snacks, and share ideas. Have a say in what
the Library has to offer for teens.
